I think of a company’s more and more in terms of engineering teams.
Some that impress me - Space ($SPCX, $RKLB), hyperscalers ($GOOG, $AWS), neoclouds ($NBIS), advertising ($META), finance ($HOOD) etc.
Speed is becoming the ‘moat’ (if those even really exist).
The range of EV/Sales in software atm is a pretty interesting insight in to current market thinking imo.
Here’s a few, courtesy @SeekingAlpha:
$TTD 1.57x
$ADBE 3.65x
$CRM 5.12x
$TEAM 7.88x
$U 9.05x
$VEEV 11.87
$APP 12.92x
$SNOW 21.44x
$PLTR 76.88x
Had a flutter on $RKLB $53 & $IREN $28 today.
While they may not trade traditionally cheap, both companies have catalysts for substantial returns over next 18 months (and some nice juicy risks to give us our upside). 🚀
$KOSPI is down 40% from ATHs
South Korean investors are facing a second wave of forced liquidations this year
Forced margin liquidations reached $44 million, the highest level in over two months, while margin loan balances climbed to $26 billion, their highest level in three months
Meanwhile, investor deposits fell to $75 billion, indicating rising leverage alongside shrinking cash buffers
Foreign investors also sold $3.4 billion in a single day, bringing their year-to-date net selling above $149 billion
AMD’s $AMD Helios racks are estimated to cost $7.33 million, per Bernstein, closely matching Nvidia’s $NVDA Vera Rubin at an estimated $7.52 million while far ahead of Google’s $GOOG TPU v7 Ironwood at $2.69 million.
$NBIS not being American is a far more durable advantage than Americans will ever understand. And the international competition is meek, to say the least.
$RKLB back in my buy zone.
I won’t paint delay as good news but management conservatism given the tight balance sheet is warranted. I’m in no rush for Neutron (but competitors are coming 👀). 🚀
All this new wealth has to go somewhere. I like resorts and casinos.
Plays like $MGM & $RCL will be in the next wave of beneficiaries of the AI trade. But not ready to unwind my direct plays yet.
Quality investors are getting DESTROYED in 2026.
The S&P 500 is up 12.5% YTD
Meanwhile…
Bill Ackman: -9% YTD
Dev Kantesaria: -28% YTD
Chuck Akre: -14% YTD
These investors all have a long history of outperformance, but 2026 has them stumped.
This is truly one of the weirdest markets in recent history.
@OpenAI & @Anthropic’s valuations may look unsustainable but if either wins the race to SI then the ROI is infinite. Even if they don’t, a few discoveries along the way could unlock enormous value. Only looking at current revenue numbers is short sighted.
@ChasingChargers@DavidSacks@DarioAmodei The Elon Musk that just left the mother of his children by unfollowing her. The same one that says empathy is a western weakness.
This has to be satire…. For your sake.
