This relates to the Tembisa Hospital corruption, flagged by the slain Babita Deokaran.

Businessman Hangwani Maumela has been implicated in the corruption.

Police Officer Killed, Colleague Injured in Bushbuckridge Attack:

A 41-year-old SAPS sergeant was killed and a 37-year-old constable injured after they were attacked while responding to a domestic violence complaint in Bushbuckridge, Mpumalanga, last night.

According to police, the suspect initially cooperated before going back into the house, returning with a sharp object and attacking the officers before fleeing on foot.

The sergeant was declared dead on arrival at hospital, while the constable remains in hospital.

A murder and attempted murder case has been opened, with the Hawks taking over the investigation.

Nokuthula Mkhize from Waterloo, Durban, was shot and killed alongside her child. It is alleged that her husband, Dumisani Zondo, discovered the child was not biologically his and that a car he had bought for his wife was being used by her boyfriend as an Uber while she told him it was with her brother. Dumisani handed himself over to police after the shooting.
