Last month we marked the 6th anniversary of the #WindrushScandal coming into the public domain. There was some astonishment that there were still problems with the compensation scheme. There has been improvements & closer working relationships with the Home Office team has been beneficial. But why do we continue to see such errors in the casework? Today a client, who has given permission to disclose the amounts, had an offer which went from £40k to £273k on review. We have to get a scheme that stops adding trauma to the process. This claimant has waited years.

@ed_accura @BlackSwimAssoc @RNLI@swimswamnews@Swim_England@Sport_England@SpeedoUK@OverlordXbeats@Boysayso__ Truly humbled to play a small part on your roller coaster journey with like minded others. Unknown to others through your thought provoking conversations, you have taken my own family on a personal swimming 🏊🏿♀️ journey this summer. Thank you Ed & your team. You are saving lives.
5 years ago, to this very day, 12 friends and family went on a boat trip while on holiday in Barbados.
As a reluctant party on this trip, mainly due to my fear of water, I stayed on board and watched everyone else enjoy the water while the boat anchored in the sea.
I sat and wrote the lyrics to the song which would end up being the soundtrack to A Film Called Blacks Can’t Swim.
This is the day it all began, the journey that led to me overcoming my fear of water and understanding the importance of water safety, the production of the Blacks Can’t Swim Film documentaries, the co-founding of the Black Swimming Association, the hosting of In The Deep End Podcast, the hundreds of interviews, articles, and conversations, and the publishing of A Visual Journey of Blacks Can’t Swim, the book that documents the whole journey.
I look forward to what will be achieved in the next 5 years.
It has been a journey of emotions, education, fun, pain, ups and downs. Thanks to everyone who has contributed to and supported this campaign.
Thanks for being a part of this journey.
Together, let’s continue to save lives 🙏🏾♥️

When you get into the detail, everything stinks with how Stephen's murder case and subsequent accountability on those who appear to have taken action to protect the suspects. Are these the good old days when boots were shiny but corruption seems rife?
