What kind of parent does this to their child?

This footage was filmed yesterday.

Today, three people died trying to cross the Channel.

One of them was a child.

And this is what was happening just 24 hours earlier.

Children being lifted onto these boats and pushed out to sea.

Look at them.

They are children.

They do not understand the weather, the waves, the overcrowding, the engine failures or how quickly the Channel can kill.

They trust the adults putting them onboard.

Then today, a child died.

How many more children have to be put on these boats?

How many more have to die before somebody finally says ENOUGH?

The farmer who called in the RAF Fairford incident has spoken. And she's not having Wes Streeting's spin.

There were "definitely more than five," she says. Eight to ten. Faces covered. All dressed the same, "almost you'd have thought perhaps it was what they'd been told to wear."

Five were arrested. All five are now out on bail.

Streeting went on the telly to say she only had a "partial picture." Her reply? Nobody in any official capacity has even been in touch with her.

So: a declared major incident. The one witness from that night says more men were there than were ever arrested. Not one official has picked up the phone to her.

But the Defence Secretary found time to go on the BBC and mark down her account.
