Would anyone happen to have a link to the government website explaining how CEBA loans are treated on taxes? There is conflicting information on the internet (surprise, surprise!), and I can't find the correct link on the government website.
Is there a website - similar to CANLii - for academic articles that shows me if there was any adverse treatment of an article post-publication (or updated and new findings since the publication)?
@lawandchocolate Or when you ask for additional disclosure and they resend the ENTIRE file with 2-3 additional new documents, but have renamed them, so you have to re-screen the whole thing to see if they are duplicates or not.
Thrilled and so happy for this recognition! Thank you #clawbies2023 for this lovely award! And thank you @justiceinpieces for nominating us! It’s been an incredible year of wonderful interviews with amazing people in the legal profession! Thank you for your support! 😊
@RHDefence WTH? I'm proud to call this land Turtle Island; It's respect given to the land, which we share with all of life's creations. This statement is quite bold and uninformed.
I'm tired. Exhausted. I cringe when I see Brown people lend their faces to the background of pictures designed to make those in the foreground look inclusive. It happens all the time and all along the political spectrum. Build more statues. Taller. And without apology.13/13
@lawandchocolate I'm there next week (Tuesday to Thursday) Hope to see you up there (Also, I realized I was logged into my dog's account by accident, so I already posted this as a dog earlier).
I too am running for a CLA Toronto position and would ask you to vote for me of course, but there are 8 spots and I hope you also consider Chris for one of those spots. He's dedicated to the practice of criminal law and would be an amazing addition to the board.
I took two weeks away from work and walked 212 kms along the Camino de Santiago. It was an amazing time, full of adventure, great food and amazing people. I worked non-stop before I left, and since I've been back, I have my emails back down to zero!
This is huge for me. I tend not to take vacations because I stress about work while I'm away, but this time was different. I learned a lot on the Camino, but I also learned that taking time off is not as scary as I thought it might be.
I have a trial in Thunder Bay and I'm wondering where people stay when they travel there for work! Please drop me any recommendations! I'll be there October 10 - 13th
Since BAIL is such a big discussion in the media lately, women from @WiCCD_Canada including @tonya_ck, @ShaunnaKelly and myself had a panel discussion moderated by @SHUKAIRYLAW to explain the basics of bail for the public and media. Check it out here:

It is National Indigenous Peoples' Day! It's a time to recognize and celebrate the history, heritage, resilience and diversity of First Nations, Inuit and Métis. #IndigenousPeoplesDay#MenstrualEquity
Here are a few ways we are showing up:
Happy Indigenous People’s Day!!! There are lots of fantastic events around the city, most kick off this afternoon. I hope everyone has an opportunity to get on out there and celebrate our amazing culture and history!!
I'm on a roll. Here is another article that I wrote, based on a talk that I gave a month or so ago. UNDERSTANDING CULTURAL SENSITIVES THROUGH A TRAUMA-INFORMED LENS https://t.co/c32GQsEKPG @OBAlawyers
These are the kinds of red flags we like to see!
