My goal is to have more students in school for more days when it is safer to do so. A positive testing rate at +20% in our county and more than 650 new cases per day are not conditions to put more kids in school. Like you I want more, but now isn’t the time to be reckless.
@GovMikeDeWine What about staff like myself who have 5-pages of diagnosed allergies and carry multiple Epi-pens? I’m not a good candidate for the vaccine, but I should come back and risk my life? This is a political move that puts lives in jeopardy! #saveourlives#SafetyFirst#teacher#allergy
@GovMikeDeWine Superintendents shouldn’t have to agree to your conditions of putting lives at risk, just so staff can get a vaccine! We are talking about teachers who risk their lives everyday in school and just because this is a global pandemic instead of bullets, it’s okay to put us at risk?
During the week of February 1st, we will begin to vaccinate our school personnel. This week we are sending forms to be signed by superintendents - we are asking them to agree to go back to full in-person or hybrid learning by March 1st. That is a condition of getting the vaccine.
My New Year’s resolution: create I Can Statements that don’t have to be changed all year! Math - I can add some numbers. Reading - I can read some words.
I have the great honor to announce that I’ve picked @KamalaHarris — a fearless fighter for the little guy, and one of the country’s finest public servants — as my running mate.
@Arbys at what point have you allowed your employees to impart their political views on customers? Your new New Philadelphia location is asking customers in their drive-thru who they are voting for and wearing Trump masks. Bad move!
It is unethical to expect teachers to return to in-person classrooms in the fall when their level of exposure to the virus will be exponentially increased. You only gamble with the lives of people you have no value for
