Today, the migrating monarch butterfly was officially added to the @IUCN Red List of endangered species due to the rapid decline of their population.

#SNRMystery Our Education Coordinator, Jessie, found these gastroliths (crawfish stomach stones) in river otter scat! After freshwater crustaceans shed their exoskeleton, these calcium carbonate clusters are reabsorbed in their stomach to strengthen the new exoskeleton.
