A lot of people will write you off. Some will just unintentionally disregard you altogether. THAT HURTS & YOU HAVE TO CONFRONT IT!
Breakthrough will come when you realize you’ve put too much into connections that weren’t going to reciprocate.
Get over it, MOVE ON NEXT IS NOW!
And now because of a job shift I find myself struggling. Struggling to keep my kids engaged in church. I’m not judging anyone in the same boat.
How do we compensate in these situations? We SHOW them Jesus at home. We teach them the at home. It can’t only be at church.
The amount of hurting, confused, angry, and abandoned youth in our culture is staggering. My generation has blood on our hands. Our desire to “let them have a choice” on matters such as faith has had horrible consequences. My parents MADE me go to church…
Guess what? I learned some GREAT THINGS & I also LEARNED SOME NONSENSE. The church is not perfect. BUT, I’m in my 40s & I still use manners. I still have a basic understanding of biblical morality & the intrinsic value of others…
Trust me when I tell you, MANY people you have loved & respected will forget you the moment you are no longer benefiting them. Don’t take it personal. It’s just a sign they never valued the relationship the way you did.
Transition is a difficult thing even under great circumstances. I celebrate you who have lived through the process, especially those who have done it honorably.
So I guess now I’m out of full time career ministry and doing real estate, I need to rebrand. This is a fought season for sure but changes have to happen
Having been in ministry my entire adult life, and pastoring a great church, to now being out of it, the transition is harder than I thought it would be.
Even finding a church is MAD CRAZY. How do you “turn off” the gifts Gods given you and just sit? It’s tough
Working today on my birthday but I had a hour to drop by a church near one of my showings. @_AJW_ should be proud to know that I’ve visited quite a few churches on my sabbatical since I just moved to Htown & this was the first church I’ve had more than 2 people speak to me. 👍🏽
