Illumination wouldn’t have been such an outstanding success without our spectacular sponsors, generous food and beverage donors, and the 1,200 attendees who came together to cast a light on rare disease!
Over $1.3 million raised will fuel groundbreaking RVCL research and treatments like gene therapy, siRNA, and custom drug development that utilize CRISPR technology.
For eight remarkable years, we have built a community rooted in empathy and forward-thinking collaboration, empowering us to tackle the complex challenges within biotech and healthcare.
I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to the amazing people and businesses who helped make Illumination 2024 our best event yet!
CRG is proud to announce its first full-building lease with new client, Omega Morgan, at The Cubes at Etna - Building D.
The Columbus market remains a priority for us, and the new lease underscores the advantages of our 305-acre master-planned industrial park. The region remains a vital part of CRG’s long-term strategy, offering
convenient access to two-thirds of the U.S. population.
The 250,020-square-foot industrial space is strategically positioned adjacent to the Interstate 70 interchange at State Route 310, providing immediate access to major transportation routes.
Through our integrated delivery platform and partnership with LXP Industrial Trust, we’re well-equipped to cater to the evolving demands of modern corporate users, including specialized operators like Omega Morgan.
Thank you to Kevin Scott and Ben Weinstein for continuing to support this premier industrial park.
As we wrap up another memorable Illumination event - which raised over $1.35 million for RVCL research - I wanted to spotlight the incredible work of our event’s poster artist, Mike Coon.
Mike Coon, founder of QuickArt Studio Inc., has an impressive 14 years in concept art, storyboarding, and illustration. His background in music and anthropology infuses a unique blend of artistry, emotion, and storytelling into his work.
Since 2016, his posters have become an iconic part of Illumination’s identity, evolving with each year to reflect our themes and purpose. His designs go beyond just artwork—they are symbols of hope, creativity, and a powerful commitment to finding a cure for rare diseases like RVCL.
This year, Mike developed another unique poster that perfectly captures the spirit, themes, and impact of Illumination. His dedication and talent, shown consistently over the past eight years, have made each poster a meaningful symbol of our mission to support RVCL research.
This year’s limited-edition poster, along with several past designs, are now available for purchase. By buying a poster, attending the event, or donating, you are contributing to research efforts aimed at finding a cure for RVCL. Every donation, no matter how small, helps cast a light on rare diseases and brings hope to those affected.

I’m excited to be back on the University of Michigan (@UMich) campus to meet with the RVCL research team and receive formal updates on their progress.
Four years ago, we established a grant with UM through The Clayco Foundation to begin a custom drug development effort for RVCL, looking for TREX1 inhibitors (RVCL is caused by a damaging TREX1 protein due to a TREX1 gene mutation).
Since then, we've come a long way by creating a co-crystal structure of the protein and are making great progress in discovering compounds that could be used to safely and effectively treat RVCL.
I’m thankful to have had the opportunity to chat in person with Nouri Neamati, Ph.D., Professor of Medicinal Chemistry at the UM College of Pharmacy, who leads our chemistry efforts along with his accomplished team. I’m thankful to be joined by Jonathan Miner (@miner_lab), Ph.D., Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania (@Penn), who leads our global collaborated effort to cure RVCL.
When we started this journey there were a lot more questions than answers and very little hope.
I can proudly say we are on an exciting path and there truly is hope for our patients today!
I recently added to our collection this wonderful oil on canvas work, ‘Fore! Score and Seven Years’ (2024), from the Thierry Goldberg Gallery.
It’s part of an up-and-coming #artist whose work I find really interesting Nicolas Lambelet Coleman's new series, ‘Songbirds of the South’, which he began at the end of 2023 while he was at home in North Carolina. He said it’s probably the most fun he’s had working on a project, and it shows.
In this series of pictures, he portrays an idealized but distorted vision of life in the South. Coleman said these paintings scrutinize southern leisure activities, many of them – like golf – influenced by race.
He satirizes a culture where looking like you're doing something is more important than actually doing it. By including himself and his family in his paintings, he acknowledges and critiques his own role and place in this society.
I'm really proud of Bob (@bobclarkbeyond) for investing in such a great legacy that not only impacts our family but the St. Louis community as well.
Pictures don’t do the 74,000-square-foot branch justice. It is a beautiful, modern building with something for everyone and ample opportunities for members of the community to connect and expand their minds.
Now the largest two-story library in the district, the Clark Family Branch offers much more than books. It gives library-goers access to a high-tech creative lab with a 3D printer, a recording studio with quality instruments, and a green screen!
This cutting-edge space is designed for the future and offers something that people of all ages can benefit from. It is a place where kids can learn, explore, and play while entrepreneurs and professionals can launch and grow their businesses.
With this amazing branch and the others, the possibilities are truly endless. This is just the beginning of a new chapter that will bring world-class learning and recreation to local neighborhoods!
