What eligibility rule did they break? The WNBA has repeatedly said that they absolutely support trans women playing in their league, and we have been told over and over again that the only requirement to be a woman is that someone identifies as trans. So apparently there is now an additional requirement, which is your intent has to be proven to be pure, but there is no objective standard for determining intent. Who gets to judge what is in someone else’s heart? What are the requirements? Really, why should it matter?
Wouldn’t it just have been easier to say that a woman is an adult human female or someone with xx chromosomes and leave it that?

No, the smart policy would be that they must be XX chromosomes. Or, if you want to be inclusive, specify that anyone with an actual chromosomal anomaly could also qualify. Also, any parents that allowed a child to start hormone therapy within 6-9 months of puberty should be jailed.
