@RazzberryYams@Lux_Stella_ In part, because potential candidates flocked to the open Governor’s race. Both the D & R fields are very large with no clear contenders.
The allegations against Platner are better corroborated than the allegations against Brett Kavanaugh were and it will be interesting to see who manages to be consistent in their beliefs about such things.
Marjane Satrapi died today.
Her work incredibly matters, she showed millions of people what the regime hides.
In fact, Persepolis was so controversial that Iran’s government sent a letter to the French embassy in Tehran to protest it and pressured organizers of the 2007 Bangkok Film Festival to remove it from the lineup.
@JustinRYoung He certainly would be a wild swap. Golden is as close to a Blue-Dog Democrat as you can get in the northeast these days.
All the more reason why it wont happen. Platner isn't going to step aside for him, he'd sooner endorse Gov. Mills.
The primary purpose of the National Guard is homeland defense, disaster response, and civil support. Excessive overseas deployment strips states of their emergency resources.
Defend the Guard is a state-level legislative movement to prohibit state National Guard units from being deployed into overseas combat unless Congress issues a declaration of war.

From the CNN obit for Mahabad Satrapi:
“Satrapi's work spanned numerous graphic novels - which she preferred to call ‘comic books’…”
As if I needed more to respect her for. Harlan Ellison was the same on the use of the term ‘graphic novel’.

At this point, every judge should assume DHS is lying unless it has evidence in hand. Lying is clearly officially sanctioned conduct under this admin. Judges need to impose more serious consequences. Why should they get to appear before them ever again?
@Papaduke@alexbrasky In 1997, the NFL almost had a Super Bowl featuring two expansion teams in their second years of existence.
No one claimed it to be a sign of decline of the league.
A team's job is to be competitive, not to be the Washington Generals.
