@BriannaWu@DocPots007 Who cares if someone calls you men.
Your identity should not depend on the affirmation of others.
If it does, it's not an identity, it's an aspiration.
You want MASSIVE moderate conservative support?
Do what LGB does, live your private lives, leave everyone else out of it.
@robbystarbuck Hey, LA has to liv e with this.
It's SUCH a utopia now.
I don't have to live with these consequences, residents of the city do.
Get ready for more drugs, more homelessness, less real action and more leftist nonsense that makes everyone's lives worse!
Voting by mail should have extremely tight security requirements.
If someone cannot vote in person with photo ID and citizenship verification, fine. There should be an absentee process.
But that process should be secure, verifiable, auditable, and treated as an exception, not a casual default.
Iran materially enabled the threat environment Israel is responding to.
Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis do not exist at their current military scale without Iranian money, weapons, training, intelligence support, and political backing.
You can criticize Israel’s conduct while still admitting Iran helped build and arm the fire Israel is now fighting.
No, bolting things on, cutting thing off, taking radical medication regiments will not change who you are.
Language, like gender, is ALSO a social construct, and there simply isn't the mass acceptance required to change "woman" away from "adult female", which has stood for thousands of years.
Small subgroups do not get to arbitrarily alter definitions because of how they feel.
@sethmoulton Iran has waged war through proxies for decades: Hezbollah, Hamas, Houthis, Iraqi militias.
Ending this too soon preserves the machine making peace impossible.
No endless war. But no pretending Iran is just an innocent victim either.
@RussW0701 Even moderate conservatives support LGB rights.
Private people leading private lives.
T started insisting on forced speech, invasion of female spaces by males, and tried to destroy women's sports, they fucked up.
If it's truly your identity, no need for external validation.
@KathyHochul Say it ain't so Kathy:
"Kathy Hochul is blocking the release of information surrounding a Chinese immigrant who killed five people after he slammed a charter bus into a stopped car."
@RepJasmine A “Black seat”?
Congressional seats are not racial property. They belong to voters.
You cannot claim to defend democracy while arguing public office should be assigned by race.
Civilian deaths matter everywhere, including Lebanon.
But moral outrage should not depend on which administration, ally, or weapon system caused them.
Harvard Political Review reported that Obama approved 563 drone strikes that killed approximately 3,797 people. It also cited an early Obama-era CIA drone strike at a funeral that reportedly killed as many as 41 Pakistani civilians, and a Yemen strike that reportedly killed 55 people, including 21 children.
If civilian deaths require congressional action, apply that standard consistently.
Lebanese civilians matter. Pakistani, Yemeni, Somali, Afghan, Iraqi, Israeli, and Palestinian civilians matter too.
Selective outrage is not moral clarity.
Slavery was not America’s unique “original sin.” It was a global historical practice and a moral evil, found across civilizations, empires, tribes, kingdoms, and continents.
That does not excuse America’s participation in it. But pretending slavery was uniquely American is historically false.
African kingdoms and intermediaries participated in slave capture and sale. Islamic, European, African, and other systems all had slave trades. Modern slavery still exists today through forced labor, trafficking, and forced marriage.
Tell the whole history.
Then build policy around helping living Americans who need help now, not racial inheritance claims that reduce a global human evil into one country’s permanent blood debt.
@RepBeccaB So, "cut corners on food". The food does not have to be good. It has to be edible.
These are detainees awaiting deportation because they failed to maintain legal status.
Maintaining legal status is their responsibility.
@FrankPallone@RepAnalilia Proof of the horrible conditions.
If you think anyone is going to take YOUR word for it, you aren't living in today's America.
@edwinmendivil85@SenJackyRosen@FWDus@dreambignv First, Ed, settle down.
Fair: DACA itself is not a direct citizenship path.
But “no legal routes exist” is false.
Some Dreamers can pursue status through marriage, family, employment sponsorship, consular processing/waivers, or advance parole + adjustment if eligible.
@SenSchumer Disparity can justify scrutiny. It is not proof.
No officer should be denied because of race or sex. No officer should be promoted because of race or sex either.
Release the records, compare qualifications, explain the decisions, and prove the claim.
@SenSchumer Senator Schumer,
If you want to make a case, give us the EXACT records of those denied side by side with those promoted, and ask the SecDef for the specific reasons each was not included.
Enough crying racism and sexism when it can be directly proven.
Show the proof.
