Elderly uncles from prime ministers to judges to ministers are everywhere imposing their fossilised notions on everything, full of hatred for the youth, dispensing their old worn out ideas on everyone. Govt of Maharastra Says - Major Relief for Transfer of Family Property!

The Revenue Department of the Government has issued an important notification under the Registration Act, 1908. Under this, if residential or agricultural property is transferred to husband, wife, son, daughter, grandson, granddaughter, or the wife of a deceased son through a gift deed, only ₹200 will be charged as registration fee for that document.

This decision will make the transfer of family property more convenient, cost-effective, and citizen-friendly. Additionally, the expenses incurred in this process will be saved, providing major relief to the common people.

Going down memory lane to 24th July 1989, after a massive storm hit Bombay, 96 trees were uprooted at the Club.

The late Mrs. Lata Jhaveri frantically called up Soli kaka (Mr. Sorabjee Godrej), who swiftly brought help from ‘ The Friends of The Trees’. All of them ably aided by the Club’s ‘maalis’, Ranibaug’s horticultural department + the cranes kindly provided by Mr. Ajit Gulabchand of HCC, replanted and restored 56 trees over a few days.

As Dolly Parton once said “Storms make trees take deeper roots” & today those 56 trees are standing upright in their glory.
