Situational Awareness-The Hidden Skill in Gaelic Football
The best players don’t just react-they anticipate
By constantly scanning, communicating, reading the game before receiving the ball, players make faster decisions, create space, and stay one step ahead of the opposition
Space. Pace. Accuracy.
The three keys to an effective mid kick-out.
Create space before the kick
Attack the ball at pace
Secure possession with accurate execution
Great teams don’t leave kick-outs to chance—they train them with purpose.

On June 8, 1986, Diego Armando Maradona scored his first goal of the Mexico ’86 World Cup.
At the time, nobody could have imagined what would happen in the weeks that followed.
That tournament would go on to deliver one of the greatest individual performances ever seen on a football pitch.
Forty years later, Maradona’s World Cup remains the benchmark against which all others are measured.
What’s the first memory that comes to mind when you hear the name “Maradona”? 👇⚽🇦🇷

Gary Nolan’s black Skoda Octavia (171 D 16702) was stolen last week. This car is the only way Gary can transport his son David, who has severe autism and complex needs, to vital clinical appointments.
Public transport isn't an option for David, and losing their freedom machine has been devastating for the family's mental health.
Gary gave up his job with Dublin Bus to be a full-time carer to his son.
"He had a routine and even just getting out for a drive was an escape for us. We used to drive him to a social club in Balbriggan or to visit his uncle in Co. Meath. We used the car to bring him to clinical appointments. There was always something to get him to.
"David wouldn't be able to use public transport, especially as we'd need to catch two buses to get him to some places. He doesn't understand theft. He keeps looking out the window and saying that the man will bring the car back soon."

Help a mother be with her son for his final moments.
Sligo Rovers supporter Aaron Mulligan was recently involved in a very serious road traffic accident in Australia and has suffered a severe brain injury that is not compatible with life. He is currently in critical condition in Royal Perth Hospital, where doctors are doing everything they can to keep him alive until his mum can reach him.
Mairead and her family urgently need to travel from Ireland to Australia, flying through Doha, to be by Aaron’s side.
This emergency journey brings enormous and unexpected costs — last-minute flights, accommodation in Australia, and other expenses while they remain there supporting Aaron.
Any donation you could offer would mean a lot to the Mulligan family.
