The Maldives and Bangladesh enjoy a warm and enduring partnership founded on mutual respect, close people-to-people connections, and constructive cooperation across a wide range of sectors. This relationship continues to deepen as both countries work collaboratively towards shared progress and resilience.

The significant Bangladeshi expatriate community in the Maldives has also played a vital role in supporting the country’s development efforts, contributing meaningfully across key sectors of the economy. 🇲🇻 🤝 🇧🇩

Arrived in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia to participate in the Extraordinary Open-Ended Meeting of the @OIC_OCI Executive Committee.

The meeting will address escalating crimes against Palestinians, including efforts to expand settlements, deepen annexation, and alter the status of the Occupied Palestinian Territory in the West Bank.

I thank the OIC for convening this timely meeting and look forward to reaffirming the Maldives’ unwavering commitment and steadfast solidarity with the people of Palestine and their legitimate rights.

Wrapped up a successful visit to Geneva to attend the 61st session of @UN_HRC

During the visit:
✅ Delivered Maldives national statement
✅ Participated in a side event on women’s political leadership in multilateralism
✅ Held bilateral meetings with 12 heads of delegations
✅ Deposited the Instrument of Ratification for the 1986 Amendment to the ILO Constitution.

We are commited to enhancing multilateral cooperation and constructive dialogue to advance and protect universal human rights standards.
