Author: “Taste of Pakistan in Fusion”; recipient of Gourmand Award 2023; Founder “DC Chapter Bridge” platform; APF 2023 Rising Stars, Women who Soar” list
Yesterday I visited Capitol Hill and met with the US Senator from my state, Maryland, @ChrisVanHollen. (Incidentally the Senator was born in my hometown - Karachi). The Senator warmly embraced my cookbook, “A Taste of Pakistan in Fusion” and recognized it not only as a collection of innovative fusion recipes but also as a narrative of my journey to create interest and excitement for South Asian flavors. By infusing various cuisines with Pakistani flavors, I am creating a culinary melting pot, celebrating diversity, and building community. As a first-time author, I experienced profound gratitude for the opportunity.
