@BattlefieldBen There are places that stop you in your tracks — Oradour-sur-Glane is one of them. I visited a couple of years ago and the silence there is unlike anything else. Haunting in the truest sense. I believe some places don’t need words. They speak for themselves.
Day 3,What a day. Omaha Beach, the American Cemetery, Pointe du Hoc, Sainte-Mère-Église, La Fière, Brecourt Manor, Dick Winters’ memorial, Utah Beach… Bayeux war cemetery and somehow we fitted lunch in Carentan in the middle of all of it.

Day 2 began at #RanvilleCemetery before heading to #Pegasusbridge The afternoon took us along the Sword, Juno, and Gold beach, concluding with a visit to the #BritishNormandyMemorial. A privilege to share these stories and places with people who truly want to understand them.
The first private tour of the season got off to a great start. We crossed from Portsmouth to Caen on the early morning ferry, and arrived in Normandy in good time to visit the #MervilleBattery before checking into the hotel. The evening rounded off with dinner in Ouistreham
Our final thank you of 2024 must go to our team, who without, we are nothing! @NewmarchPhil, @DdayGeek & Paul, you have made this year very special for so many, I cannot thank you enough. Thanks must also go to our regular drivers Rich & Lewis who blend with us so easily.
No tour runs properly without a top team. Huge thanks must go to @DdayGeek for some brilliant presentations to our non walkers, and at our full group stops, and to
our drivers Rich & Lewis who were absolutely superb throughout. #ThankyouAll.
A fantastic few months for reviews, as we recieve another 5☆ #Google review from a small personal tour, following their relatives #DDay journey. A fantastic job, as always by our guide @DdayGeek!

108 year ago, men went over the top to fight & die for what they believed in. The Battle of the Somme had begun and continues for another 4 1/2 months. May they all rest in peace
Another review ☺️
Sharon did us more than proud, saw many places, heard many stories, laughed a huge amount (what happened in Dunkirk etc etc...) hotel was faultless and De Panne where we stayed certainly deserves a return visit.
Half way through another week and we look forward to the weekend as our ever growing solo weekend tours continue, with a guest wishing to explore the #Artois#Battlefields! A fantastic itinerary planned with brilliant 8 mile 1917 battlefield walk included! Roll on Saturday!
