Someone I loved very much died suddenly yesterday the grief is immense and is compounding on top of everything that is happening in the world so I might be on here but I can’t really express myself very well so
Obviously this is more nuanced because often terrorist groups are funded and supplied by governments. But the point is that terror/anti terror has the same effect on on the population
In uni I did a course on the history of terrorism (my teacher was on the asio watch list apparently) but something that was repeatedly hammered home is that counter terrorism is just terrorism that is sanctioned by the state.
This paper by @sbaroncohen who is the head autism honcho at Cambridge, is pointing towards an association of autism with Coeliac Disease (autoimmune reaction to gluten) and Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (hyper mobility and pain) - finally some recognition of co-morbidities that go alongside #Autism

And she said “oh yeah, that’s a good ideas. This summer is gonna be…well, it’s gonna be dark. It’s really scary” and I said “yep” and we just grimaced at each other and I paid, said goodnight and left

And he got it first time and turned to the (again I can’t stress enough really nice not arrogant at all) med student and was like that’s a lesson, when a patient is a hard stick and they tell you their best vein you listen. A very rare but positive occasion with the health system
Had a gastroscopy and the (really nice) medical student said she had a 100% success rate with getting the cannula in today and I was like 😬 not to throw you off but I’m a hard stick sometimes they have to use a butterfly to get into the vain near my pinky that’s my best vein
And she was tapping pumping for ages and was like I’ll try the one closer to your thumb and she did not get it and she was like I don’t get it I’ve had super crumbly old veins today and I got them😂then the main anaesthesiologist came out and I told him what vein they usually get
