UPDATE: Buganda Kingdom has announced that UGX 1.95 billion was raised through the “Luwalo Lwaffe” initiative between January and December 31, 2025.

Presenting the report at Bulange Mengo, the Second Deputy Katikkiro and Kingdom Treasurer, Owek. Robert Waggwa Nsibirwa, said the funds will support key projects including the reconstruction of the Kasubi Royal Tombs, establishment of nursery schools in all counties, upgrading medical equipment at Muteesa II Hospital, and expansion of the Mwanyi Terimba coffee programme.

The Kingdom noted that collections rose by 16 percent compared to 2024, reflecting increased public support for Buganda’s development programs.
