Last Thursday evening, @OPSTrafficCM and frontline officers were in the Orleans area as part of the #ResidentsMatter late-night traffic enforcement initiative.

Three drivers were charged with stunt driving-excessive speed. Each of these drivers had their licenses suspended for 30 days and the vehicles were impounded for 14 days. They were issued Court Summons.
146 km/h in an 90 km/h zone – Highway 174 EB East of Trim Road
100 km/h in a 60 km/h zone – Innes Road/ Lamarche Avenue
143 km/h in an 80 km/h zone – Highway 174 WB / Tenth Line Road

In addition to the 3 Court Summons, an additional 18 provincial offence notices (PONs) were issued during Thursday’s enforcement for a total of 21 charges. Among the PONs issued, 10 were for speeding.

Jeudi soir dernier, des agents de la circulation et de première ligne étaient à l’œuvre dans les environs d'Orléans dans le cadre de l’initiative « Les résidents comptent » d’application des règlements de la circulation en fin de soirée.

Des sommations à comparaître furent délivrées à trois conducteurs pour manœuvres périlleuses avec excès de vitesse, soit:
• 146 km/h en zone de 90 – autoroute 174 direction Est, à l’Est du chemin Trim
• 100 km/h en zone de 60 – chemin Innes / avenue Lamarche
• 143 km/h en zone de 80 – autoroute 174 direction Ouest / chemin Tenth Line

En plus des sommations à comparaître, 18 avis d’infraction provinciale (AIP) furent délivrés lors de la campagne de jeudi, pour un total de 21 chefs d’accusation, dont dix pour excès de vitesse.
