Jane Schoenbrun discusses the lack of trans artists receiving higher budgets:
“When I look around in our ‘post-woke, post-Biden’ era, I don’t see any other trans artists getting budgets, and that’s a fucking shame. I shouldn’t be the only one who’s making movies at this level of budget.”
I genuinely love that they did this with the regular Klasky-Csupo “ugly” aesthetic. These are the world’s coolest and most athletic children, they’re gonna look like goblins
This is pretty much a schizopost, but I'd like to point out that Achilles has one scene in The Odyssey and he says that his heroic deeds weren't worth dying for because he's respected in Hades but he'd rather be alive as a serf on earth. He's a shade and is only able to communicate with Odysseus because Circe taught him how to do a sacrifice to communicate with the dead.
This is one of the most famous scenes in all of Western literature and you don't seem to know it at all, and posting a gif from a movie that both isn't great and that you also clearly didn't really understand is a lot to take in.
The Odyssey and The Iliad are complex works with a nuanced depiction of martial heroism.
Every time I encounter a homeless person doing something unpleasant I simply take two seconds to think about how I get to go back to my house and forget about it while they are forced to endure that situation at all times because the world is cruel and unfair
Still not a single statement from Schumer or Jeffries. Completely asleep and check out because Trump is doing their dirty work for them while they maintain plausible deniability. They’ll wait 36hrs, or after the bombs are falling, and check the box with a limp process complaint

Transphobes love circulating this graphic claiming "trans women are more likely to commit sexual offenses."
We've all seen it, many times over. It's a favorite in their rotation.
However, it's not just misleading; it's statistically incoherent.
First: The entire claim about "males identifying as women" is based on 56 people total. Converting tiny counts like that into "per million" rates massively inflates volatility.
A handful of cases up or down would radically change the numbers. Any competent statistician would flag this as unusable.
Second: This category does not actually measure trans women. It relies on prison administrative labels like "male, identifies as female," often assigned after arrest.
That includes people with no social, legal, or medical transition, and sometimes people claiming an identity post-incarceration. That is not population data.
Third: Prison data does not equal offending rates. Prison populations reflect policing, charging, plea deals, sentencing, and institutional bias. Not how crime occurs in society.
Using incarceration data as a proxy for prevalence is a basic category error.
Fourth: This graphic commits a classic Base-Rate Fallacy.
Comparing 25 million women, 23.5 million men, and 47,000 individuals classified as trans on the same per-million scale introduces distortion.
Rare events become more pronounced when scaled; large populations smooth out variation.
This is why real research uses Confidence Intervals, which are conspicuously absent here.
Fifth: The categories are quietly switched to inflate the results.
"Males (including other trans identities)" is used when it lowers the male rate, but "excluding other trans identities" is used when it raises the trans-coded rate.
That's analytical laundering, not consistency.
Sixth: The visual design itself is propaganda. The dense icon arrays imply mass prevalence while representing rates, not counts, exaggerating a subgroup that amounts to fewer than 60 people.
Lastly, even if the numbers were sound (Which they are not), there's no causal mechanism offered. No theory, no explanation, just "hey, look at the numbers." That isn't evidence; it's prejudice dressed up as data.
This graphic doesn't show that trans women are dangerous.
It shows how small sample sizes, misclassification, post-hoc labelling, and base-rate manipulation can be weaponized to manufacture fear.

Trans women are patriarchy's whipping girls and scapegoats upon whom tensions and contradictions are unleashed in order to reify the sexed antagonism—plus the severe sexual abuse and commodification that is being excused on basis of degendering. We live a womanhood most intense.
i love reading some posts where a trans woman explains basic everyday aspects of transmisogyny and a bunch of leftists act like it's the most insane unintelligible ramblings they've ever seen
This is an excellent analysis on a cover illustration that *begs* to be analyzed.
It inspired me to continue the analysis. It's extremely important we analyze and dissect the way the anti-gender (GC) movement communicates its ideas.
Here's a thread of some of my thoughts:
