@Mattlinn01 I've had better luck with /remote-control and controlling it from my phone if I need to poke it along while I am away. If you're doing stuff while charging/etc then yeah having the laptop is great.
Really great read for what sounds like a really great trip. Can you say more about what you’ve seen on the inverter on the Sierra? I am in the market for a truck and was under the impression the Sierra EV would be able to power a small travel trailer off grid. Not the case? I’ve seen a lot of your tweets about Rivians inverter, thought that was unique to them. Also you mentioned Sierra isn’t “stout”, can you elaborate? Watching @itskyleconner’s rustic ring test, that platform seemed to be the most stout of them all.
@Mattlinn01@DomDoesMedia I know lightning was killed for obvious reasons, but wasn’t the pack in that just fine for an expedition? Does adding a shell over the bed and extra weight require that much more capacity?
I agree with you but I think typed/compiled languages are going to be preferential for LLMs for a while. Makes a tighter eval loop for the model to self- correct. Obviously LLMs are still great at non-typed too, I wouldn't do a re-write for it but greenfield projects I'll use typed.
@WifeDirtyTesla Had something similar happen on my 2023 Y a few weeks ago. Swerved for non-existent obstacle (mistaking road sealant) at highway speeds
@Michael_L_Rauch@Tesla@elonmusk@ryanjaycowan@GM Yeah honestly Lucid would be a good option but we’re likely doing more towing of a camper than long distance road trips, so the combo of higher ground clearance and towing capacity outweighs charging performance for us. Especially given we’d rarely feel it with that range 🤣
@Michael_L_Rauch@Tesla@elonmusk@ryanjaycowan@GM Interesting - I’m wanting to go the opposite way but have kids and dogs, so space is more important at the moment. Taking a long hard look at the Sierra EV right now for me.. I’m sure it’d have the same issues you just described
@ChadMoran@brooklindevil A few things I have that are USB-C: my touchless soap dispenser, my dogs e-collar, Apple TV remote, my headlamp for hiking, percussion massager, the list goes on lol
@ChadMoran Took me soooooooooo long to figure that out when I set up my system - only device I own that was incompatible, and it was brand new at that point (last year).
