Hi, I'm Shea. I'm really quiet and introverted in real life, with a very sweet personality. Online, I'm more outspoken. I speak my mind, so please speak yours.

Just a thought ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ
Iโve been thinking a lil about race lately. Since the issue comes up repeatedly (often from foreign actors wanting to sow or instigate discord), I think Iโll comment. One of my favorite shows is the Big bang Theory. Penny is a fun-loving character admired by all of the men for her beauty and over-all sweetness. She isnโt all that intelligent and she has had a checkered past, having slept with at least 80 men. However, she is adored by them all, is held up as a standard of beauty and is considered an aspirational catch.
I think if anyone on or off the show were to call her a whore or slut to her face everyone watching would be appalled by the disrespect.
However, if a Black girl of similiar background even mentions that she has sexual desires for her man, the word whore and slut are tossed about with ease and conviction of thought.
I find it interesting how easily our society can disparage a Black woman for considerably less faults. While all other races are simply allowed to be themselves. Black women are overly criticized and ridiculed for every action and misstep. It is an unfair double standard in our society. Few understand the constant scrutiny of Black women nor understand the axiom, that in order to succeed Black women must be at least twice as talented. This is the case because often our positive or natural human traits are considered detestable or intollerable, and the very traits that would make one succeed in a different race is what causes obstacles in our own.
