We are waiting for the judge and jury to hear a verdict in the #HernandezTrial. I talked with the #BPD officer’s family, who died in the pursuit, they say they’re optimistic about the ruling.

The #JulianHernandez trial is on lunch recess. Talked with both lawyers on their way out. Both have no comments about the case, but both still aren’t expecting a full day.
Also during the mid-morning recess #JulianHernandez’s lawyer questioned why a shotgun the isn’t in working order without a stock would be significant to this case and why his client should face charges pertaining to the shotgun.
Most interesting part of today’s #JulianHernandez trial was the part of the mid-morning break on the record without the jury about the significance of the DNA on the shotgun and shell found near the pursuit and the shotgun itself.
Judge Lua of the #JulianHernandez trial with the jury on break said, just because a person’s DNA is on evidence doesn’t directly link them to the crime because we don’t know when that DNA was placed on the evidence.
