We don’t own this planet—but we do own what we stand for.
Heaven on Earth has no borders, and the truth is we don’t actually own anything on this planet—we’re just here for a while, trying to build a life on a piece of ground we didn’t create.
@peterbakernyt@michaelscherer So you’re sayin he’s a lying liar who can’t stop lying?
If the leader of the country will lie to us about so simple things like who paid for a granite walkway, how can we trust him with the security of our nation.
The most important trait in a leader is honesty.
Trump ripped up the walkway between the West Wing and the mansion to replace it with polished African granite carved in Italy. "Paid for by me," he claimed. Except that's not true. Taxpayers paid $689,232, per documents obtained by @michaelscherer https://t.co/7l2bkD0MIH
And: “The problem isn’t the idea of sharing and fairness; the problem is when greedy or power‑hungry people slap a nice label on what they’re doing and then do the exact opposite.”
If you really believe in freedom, let’s talk about what it would look like to trust people more, criminalize less, and build systems where nobody has to be perfect to be treated as fully human.
