Multiple Americans are saying that someone has gained access to their iPhones

While in the YouTube app, she suddenly hears on her phone typing, breathing, her ‘camera on’ indicator is lit up, she says the man was a foreign man speaking and typing

Multiple other people have said recently similar things have happened while in YouTube

I’ve looked into this and from what I can find it’s extremely rare, especially for the level of security Apple has

For this to work for a hacker to take control of your phone or app

- You would have had to have installed a malicious app or clicked a phishing link earlier. Something like a fake “YouTube update” or adult site redirect
- Or physical access to your phone at some point to install spyware
- Spyware or Remote Access Tool

Once inside, the malware could request or silently use your camera and mic permission
- It could run in the background and disguising itself as a legitimate process in your phone

The “typing, clicking, breathing, man’s voice” she described could be the attacker live-monitoring or testing controls

Even if you accidentally got this on your phone, the hacker would still likely be limited

Likely saying in YouTube with background access only to your camera and mic while YouTube plays normally

Even still, this is extremely creepy and not something you want to happen. This is exactly the type of thing you’d expect from an Indian scammer or something

Down click bad links or ever grant permissions to things not trustworthy

Luckily likelihood is very low on Apple iPhones with their security and sandboxing

The document, called the “National Rapid Response Plan,” has been shared among NNOC in the last two months. It is a structured playbook designed to trigger demonstrations within 24 HOURS of a triggering event (such as a U.S. military strike or major escalation).

• ICE field offices and immigration detention centers (explicitly to link Cuba solidarity with broader anti-ICE and immigrant-rights activism).

• U.S. military bases and recruitment centers.
Federal buildings, courthouses, post offices, and other government sites.

🔻 Timing rules: Protests should start the same evening (by 6 p.m. local time) if the triggering event happens before 3 p.m. Eastern Time, or the next day if it happens later. The goal is synchronized actions across different time zones.

🔻 Practical guidance:

• Use tools to locate military facilities, build local coalitions with unions and community groups, and even consider high-visibility spots like sports stadiums during big events.

Overall goal: Make any U.S. military move against Cuba “politically and materially costly” by creating visible, coordinated domestic opposition and severe disruption.

🔻 SEVERITY:
This is a significant and dangerous revelation because it shows a pre-planned, nationwide operational framework to cause chaos rather than spontaneous or loosely organized protests.

The network has clear leadership ties (including to figures connected with pro-Cuba solidarity groups that have worked with Cuban government-linked entities) and has been distributing supporting toolkits for messaging, training, and local organizing.
