@Kronykal 2056: Smells Like Teen Spirit is quietly playing in the background as I wheel myself to the Lobby on Wednesday afternoon to see if my grandkids game.
@Oilfield_Rando I got a new BBQ smoker, been learning a ton by analyzing and updating the results. I say what I liked or didn't like and it self adjusts my recipe for next time, etc. It's an amazing tool if you're not wanting it to just do the work for you.
Brothers, if you're called to get into Foster Care and have questions, please let me know. I've been doing it for 4 years and it's very difficult but highly rewarding.
Also, prayers are appreciated. A Kid with me for the last 2.5 years is going home this fall.
@johnkonrad Nah man, you need room to spread out with a large brood of kids. Buy the big house then fill it.
I also live in Wisconsin and just going outdoors isn't an option for many months with youngins.
@thisisfoster But on the flip side I'm sure some skills will atrophy in the way that sewing skills atrophy once there are sewing machines doing the brunt of the labor, etc. Much of our fencing knowledge or the art of fighting in pike phalanxes is likewise gone.
@thisisfoster I bought a smoker for meat 2 weeks ago. Been using exclusively AI to do recipes, instructions, provide feedback, etc. It's been an amazing process of learning a new skill with a very patient teacher on-call. It makes me less afraid to try new skills in the future.
@GladstoneHood@ginamilan_ For example, foster care, they have bio dads and foster dads. Those kids have enough problems. No need to tell them they can have only one Dad.
