I don't even know how this Eid is going to go, I don't know if anyone is in my family is going to celebrate, I don't even have a dress to wear, because everyone is pulling funds together and taking to UCH for treatment for my aunt's sickness, as at yesterday she has been diagnosed with kidney disease, partial stroke and High blood pressure

My mom rotates between her work place and accident and emergency in UCH because of her sister, after loosing another one of her sisters Iast week, I don run errands tire together with cooking, going to classes and trying to show up for my brand too, I even told my brother not to come for the festivities because there's nothing to celebrate here.

This year has been a rollercoaster of happenings that test our faith in the family, I am typing this after a long day of running around in the hospital and donating blood.

My father worked at Zenith Manufacturing Ltd in Apapa for 28 years. Never missed a day. Won Best Staff twice at their annual dinner.
Last Monday, the HR manager called him on WhatsApp. 4 minutes. That was it. Retired early. No severance. Nothing.
The same month, the MD flew to Dubai for the company’s “executive retreat.”

My father left Ikorodu at 5am every morning to beat third mainland bridge traffic. Every single day for 28 years. He turned down a government job in 2009 because he believed in that company.

I have never come across a kid that suffered so much like Ochanya.

Sh returns from school 2pm.

Victor returns home by 3 and then forces himself on her.

The little girl from 8 years became 10, and became very sick.

Winfred walked into them one day raping her and instead of reporting, she protected her father and sibling.

The aunty, Winifred's mum found out, but she kept shut. When the doctor's test results came out, the family hid the results.

Yes, she's an accomplice.

At the early stage of discovering that Ochanya was sick, it could have been easier to treat, but she deprived her treatment.

While the girl was sick, it didn't stop Winifred's Father and brother from still raping her.

For five years, nobody in the family reported the case to the police. They were all aware.

It was Ochanya that opened up when she was already dying, but Mr. Andrew like a Nigerian politician still fought his way through the case.

Ochanya finally d!ed at 13, guess what! Winifred's Father influenced the doctor's autopsy.

That's how heartless humans can be.

Winfred is living her career as an "influencer" on X. Victor, the rapist is living his dream career as musician and Winfred always promotes his music here. The rapist-father is still a lecturer teaching teenagers. (Imagine a rapist among teenagers).

But they deprived Ochanya her dream of becoming a medica doctor.

Now Winifred just returned to X with a banger post, smiling sayiythe trend is funny, like she is not a willing accomplice of rape, but another family would weep at the thought of her family's wickedness.

How do they sleep in that home knowing that they are all rapists, murderers and accomplices?

Wini shouldn't be let free here until she testifies against her rapist father in the court. The court needs evidence, wini is the evidence but she has refused to be one.

Most people (including many Muslims) still don’t get the concept of Ramadan fasting at all… at all o.

The funniest thing is that “hunger (food abstinence) is the least of all the constraints and restraints that come with Ramadan.

1. The first most obvious and strenuous struggle is thirst.
You’d think 13+ hours of thirst is a joke until you embark on it. And this isn’t even about the oral craving of liquid alone, but the extreme physiological demand for fluid.

Easiest way to dehydration, headaches, dizziness, and generalized fatigue.

2. There are tons of other restrictions, especially abstinence from every form of distractive pleasure.

Naturally, you would feel like playing games, listening to music, watching movies, and all should help you while away time. Unfortunately, there are strong restrictions against these things for Muslims fasting Ramadan. In fact, if we were upright enough, no fasting Muslim should staying online scrolling and wasting their Ajr (reward) and time while fasting.

Now, imagine being extremely dehydrated, bored and fatigued, yet you have to restrict from every form of rewardless activities for 13+ hours.

3. Fasting Ramadan is useless without keeping all other pillars of faith. While fasting, no matter how tired you get, you must pray your five daily Salah at the right time.

You are also expected to engage in a lot of rewarding activities like Nawaafil, charity, Tilaawah, Adhkaar… Imagine you’re reciting the Quran with a dried throat, dehydrated body, weary eyes and heavy head.

4. Fasting Ramadan is not an excuse for idleness.
If you have an active job or business, you are expected to actively participate in your means of livelihood.

Now, you’re dehydrated, fatigued, bored, and have to show up to work in the sun or under stressful conditions.

5. Fasting Ramadan is COMPULSORY on every adult, sane, healthy Muslim (except some excluded groups) without any compromise.

Meaning, for 30 days consecutively, you have to rinse and repeat. No excuses. No voluntary breaks.

6. Ramadan is not just food abstinence during the day. It is also the observance of Taraaweh at late night, early rising before dawn for Tahajjud and Suhoor, keeping abstinent during the day, keeping steadfast in worship throughout the month.

You MUST observe all these for 29/30 CONSECUTIVE days without compromise.

Even if you managed to endure a single day of all these, come back after 30 days of such steadfastness and repeat that Ramadan is just you “skipping lunch”.

7. Finally, the Quran already tipped us off: the kuffs will never agree with us, and we are very okay with it.

If you still find this lenient and cheap compared to your own religion fasts… Alhamdulillah, and congratulations to us — our own Lord and Creator doesn’t ask for more, and we appreciate His mercy and benevolence on us (for giving us an easy way), and we will keep striving ONLY for His mercy, and not your validations.

Dear Muslims,

Stop making comedy content about ṣalāh, and stop sharing or promoting videos where people make fun of ṣalāh.

Since the beginning of Ramaḍān, some “intended-to-be-funny” videos have been circulating — videos of people falling while observing ṣalāh, and other skits turning ṣalāh into comedy. These are evil acts. And sharing or promoting them is an even greater evil.

It is ḥarām.

Allah has warned us against mocking matters of the religion. In the Qur’an, Allah says in Surah At-Tawbah (9:65):

“Was it Allah, His verses, and His Messenger that you were mocking?”

The warning in that verse is severe.

Islam is a beautiful religion. Islam is not against humour, memes, or comedy. But there is a clear boundary: do not make fun of the religion of Allah.

After the Kalimat ash-Shahādah, ṣalāh is the greatest pillar of Islam. It is so central that without ṣalāh, a person’s declaration of faith is empty in practice. Ṣalāh is not a joke. It is not content. It is not entertainment.

Do not mock it.
Do not record it for comedy.
Do not share videos or pictures that ridicule it.

Not just solāt, but every other pillars of Islam and religion commandment.

Mocking acts of worship is a serious transgression against Allah and His Messenger ﷺ.

May our social media posts never stand as evidence against us on the Day of Judgement.
