🚨BREAKING: ICE wrongfully deported a 25-year-old U.S. BORN citizen to Mexico… and he had to SUE the federal government to finally be allowed back into the United States.

Brian José Morales García repeatedly told authorities that he was born in Denver.

He told them he was an American citizen.

He told them he had a birth certificate, and Social Security number, at his home in Austin that he could provide.

And they deported him anyway.

According to his lawyers, the government deported Brian in April after a police stop near Fredericksburg. His citizenship was questioned, and ICE treated him as someone who had entered the country illegally.

Except he was born in the United States.

His lawyers later submitted additional evidence, including hospital records, witness affidavits, and a certified Colorado birth record confirming his citizenship.

And now, months after the government wrongfully deported him, Brian has finally been allowed to come home.

A U.S. citizen had to SUE the federal government, and produce an overwhelming amount of documentation, just to get back into the country he was born in.

And this is exactly why the argument that “if you’re a citizen, you have nothing to worry about,” is absolute bullshit.

Because what happens when the people with the guns and badges decide they don’t believe you?

What happens when saying, “I’m an American citizen…” isn’t enough?

What happens when you have to produce your birth certificate, your Social Security number, hospital records and witnesses… and even THAT doesn’t stop the government from deporting you?

So, when DHS say, “We won’t deport citizens.”

They already have. Brian is proof.

And the most terrifying part is that he was lucky enough to have lawyers who could fight like hell to get him back.

How many people don’t have that?

How many Americans could be detained, deported, or have their lives destroyed because an ICE agent decides they “look undocumented,” and didn’t believe them when they say they’re citizens?

That is why racial profiling is so dangerous, why due process matters, and why ICE agents violating constitutional rights puts everyone in danger.

And that is why giving federal agents more power, while demanding less accountability, is a dangerous combination.

Trump just illegally cut down SIXTY historic cherry trees in Washington WITHOUT court authorization in order to “renovate” a GOLF COURSE!

We already know that he is obsessed with destroying everything good in this world… But we must not become accustomed to this lawlessness and desecration.

The Washington Post reported that Trump ordered dozens of beloved cherry and sycamore trees to be cut down at the historic East Potomac Golf Links, driven by an obsessive desire to leave his destructive mark on every part of the nation’s capital.

Trump has provided neither a final design, nor a construction schedule, nor a cost estimate for the planned “renovation” of the course.

Environmental groups filed a lawsuit seeking to stop him, and the litigation is ongoing.

Federal Judge Ana C. Reyes said that she “would appreciate advance notice before the government removes more than 10 trees or brings equipment larger than a passenger vehicle onto the property” — yet Trump’s team did not do so.

“A person familiar with the litigation, who spoke on the condition of anonymity for fear of retaliation, said the government did not notify the plaintiffs or the court about the recent tree work,” The Washington Post reported.

Although this episode may seem minor compared with the enormous list of Trump’s outrageous actions and alleged wrongdoing, it is painfully symbolic of his presidency: nihilistic destruction and a shocking disregard for the rule of law.

Trampling the law is his credo.

This was one of Trump's worst rants to date...

"I’m not going to repost the filth the president wrote about Maggie Haberman, but suffice it to say she’s a great person, beautiful inside and out, an incredible mom and wife and colleague, and an amazing journalist," Tapper wrote on X. "The president’s comments are disgusting and beneath the office."

"We should never get used to this deterioration in our expectations for how a president should behave. Never," he added.

While we certainly understand Tapper's instinct to avoid repeating the smears against his friend, we believe that the American people must never look away from the ugliness that Trump spews. We must confront each new indignity, cruelty, and degradation head on so that we are reminded why this kind of man can never be allowed into power again. To that end—

Haberman reported that Trump will not be attending the 25th anniversary ceremony for 9/11 at Manhattan’s National September 11 Memorial & Museum because they refused his request to give a speech. There is absolutely no reason to distrust her reporting. She's a serious, credible journalist with a sterling track record. If she's reporting this story, it's because she has rock-solid sources to drawn upon.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump is a pathological liar who loves the sound of his own voice. Of course he tried to make the 9/11 commemoration event about himself. But he also knows that Haberman's reporting makes him look absolutely awful and he can scarcely afford more bad press with his approval ratings in the toilet and the midterms right around the corner.

As for his attack on Haberman, at this point, is anyone still surprised? This man is an avowed misogynist. He despises women and has a long history of making insulting comments about their appearances. We can't convince this man to be anything other than what he is. Our only option is to vote his entire party out of power and prosecute him once we retake the White House.
