Severe weather is expected across the area today, and this is a reminder that conditions can change quickly and become dangerous with little warning. Storms like these can bring damaging winds, large hail, heavy rain, and possible Tornadoes! Now is the time to stay aware🌪️
🌪️ Severe Weather Outbreak Expected Sunday 🌩️
Meteorologists are closely watching a powerful storm system expected to move across parts of the central and eastern United States on Sunday.
If you’re a newer storm chaser, here’s some advice:
If you have a target, research the area, map out escape routes ahead of time, and check road closures with the Department of Transportation. Make sure you follow local and state laws, take your time in traffic, and if you’re uncomfortable getting close or with how the storm is behaving, don’t get close. There’s no dishonor in structure shots. Be safe, be smart, be aware of other chasers, and most of all, have fun.
