Exactly. They can already work the system to get amendments on the ballot and passed.

A4 identifies a real problem. But it's the wrong fix, and it only fixes it for citizens. It just reroutes big money through the legislature instead.

The same legislature that voted to put a foreign nation ahead of our own constitutional freedoms.

Government wasn't designed to give politicians more power than the people.

We agree the constitution is too easy to amend. I just don't think A4 is the fix. It's a rules for thee, not for me offer from the people writing the rules.

Then ask which venue is cheaper to buy.

Sports betting cost $43M by initiative because you have to persuade 3 million voters. A House seat costs a fraction of that, and there are 163 of them, all term-limited out in 8 years while the lobbyists stay.

A4 doesn't get money out. It moves constitutional change to the cheaper market.

If you dislike 5 because it leaves too much to the politicians, then you should also dislike 4.

Our system of adjusting the constitution is broken. 4 is not the fix, though. It raises the bar for citizens and leaves the bar low for politicians. Big money can now just funnel to politicians and get the same results they’ve always gotten.

4 is the wrong fix to a real problem. A better fix should be proposed. Move the vote to 55 or 60% majority and apply it to both citizens and politicians.

Texas: no income tax, 1.68%.

Difference is who pays for schools.

And consumption tax is the only tax you can opt out of. Spend less, pay less. You can't do that with income or property.

If a stranger came to you and claimed Jesus was an illegitimate child, you would call them a blasphemer.

If they said He was a sorcerer who learned dark arts in Egypt to deceive the masses, you would call them an enemy of the Cross.

If they mocked the Resurrection, claiming the body was just stolen by a gardener, you would call them a denier of the faith.

If they insisted that Christ is not the risen Lord, but is currently suffering in hell, you would recognize them as an agent of the Antichrist.

But, because the people who wrote these things in the Talmud identify as Jewish, we are told to ignore it. More than ignore it, we are told to call them our elder brothers and God’s chosen.

Why is it that when it comes to any other group, we demand confession of Christ as Lord, but when it comes to this group, we demand the Church remain silent?

We’ve traded the Truth for a political alliance, and in doing so, we’ve made idols of men who despise our Savior.

When did the Church decide being politically correct was more important than defending the honor of the King of Kings?
