I think people in India ahould now thank PM @narendramodi who despite pressure didn't allowed Pfizer vaccine in India
He faced all kind of political abuse
@OfficeOfDGP@yadavakhilesh Akhilesh Yadav’s 2012–2017 UP tenure should be judged by the numbers, not nostalgia.
In 2016 alone, UP recorded 4,889 murders, 15,898 kidnappings, 4,816 rapes, 4,502 robberies and 284 dacoities, according to NCRB-based figures.
Facts are stubborn. Political narratives are not.
At Delhi Metro, a young boy wearing earphones was taking a water bottle out of his bag when his tiffin box accidentally fell, spilling all the food onto the floor.
Without hesitation, he tore a page from his notebook and carefully gathered the spilled food. He then took out his handkerchief and wiped the floor clean.
A small act of responsibility and consideration that speaks volumes about good upbringing. ❤️
Have departments of Psychology studied the minds of Ghaznavi, Ghori, Aibak, Alauddin Khilji, Firoz Shah Tughlaq, Aurangzeb, Sikandar Shah Miri and others to find out their specific pathologies? It would be interesting research. Should not somebody be funding such research? Are there are no-go areas in research as much as neighborhoods?
Just like that actress who genuinely seems convinced that India is waiting breathlessly for her next intellectual revelation, I chose to wait a few days before saying this.
There is something profoundly vulgar about sitting centuries away, in the safety of hindsight, and reducing the choices of Rajput women to the vocabulary of the body.
The Ranis who chose jauhar did not exist merely as bodies waiting to be interpreted through someone else’s politics. Whatever one thinks of the practice today, those women understood their circumstances, made choices within the world they inhabited, and acted upon convictions that were theirs. Their courage, however alien it may seem to a modern mind, cannot simply be stripped of agency and translated into the language of sexual anatomy.
Yet here we are - a woman perched comfortably on the high chair of modern enlightenment, dispensing retrospective gyan, while reducing Veeranganas to nothing more sophisticated than vaginas.
What an extraordinary poverty of imagination!
You do not honour women by denying them the capacity to possess convictions you find uncomfortable. You do not liberate historical women by insisting that their decisions can only be understood through your preferred modern vocabulary. And you certainly do not demonstrate intellectual superiority by replacing their minds with their bodies.
Vagina or not, you crass woman, the obscenity is not in what those women chose. It is in your inability to imagine them as anything more than their sex.
Those women had minds. They had convictions. They had courage. They had an understanding of dignity shaped by their own time, their own world and their own circumstances.
You are entitled to disagree with their choices. But you will be intellectually inoculated in democratic spaces if you erase their agency simply because their conception of dignity does not flatter yours.
That is not intellectualism. That is historical arrogance dressed up as enlightenment.

Historian KS Lal's research concludes that the average life expectancy of a Hindu woman in Muslim harems was 1 year.
A Hindu noble woman was raped by the Sultan, his brothers, then his generals and finally passed over to their homosexual servants. Most women would succumb to deep tearing and internal sexual organ damage.
What bravery is it to live this life, Swara? I am sure you would know.
WDTP? Let's actually do economics.
Nobody serious is saying Bharat's debt is irrelevant. Debt sustainability matters.
But your argument quietly makes one enormous mistake:
It treats debt stock as the economic outcome, while ignoring what borrowed money produced.
Bharat's Central Govt debt is ~₹200+ lakh crore. Agreed.
But in 2026-27, Govt is budgeting ₹12.2 lakh crore of capital expenditure—compared with just ₹1.8 lakh crore in 2014-15.
That's almost 7X Capex.
And RBI's own research found the peak fiscal multiplier for Central Govt capital expenditure is 3.25, compared with just 0.45 for revenue expenditure.
In other words, ₹1 of capex can generate substantially more economic output than ₹1 of consumption-oriented Govt spending—and public capex can crowd in private investment.
So here's where “common-sense economics” needs another chapter:
Debt is not asset.
Debt finances asset.
A ₹100 loan used to buy depreciating luxury car & a ₹100 loan used to build a toll road are NOT economically equivalent.
One creates a liability. The other creates a liability PLUS income-generating/productivity-enhancing asset.
Now your point about interest:
Yes, interest payments are large.
But relevant question isn't:
“How many lakh crore is interest bill?”
It's:
“Is nominal economic growth exceeding effective cost of Govt borrowing, while primary deficit is being brought down?”
That is how debt sustainability is actually analysed.
And here's something inconvenient:
IMF's latest Bharat assessment projects general-govt debt at 81.1% of GDP in 2025-26 & 80.7% in 2026-27, while Central Govt debt falls from 56.2% to 55.4% of GDP. So don't forget to thank CONgress & AAP Govts in Himachal & Punjab who are indiscriminately borrowing to meet revenue expenditures.
So the story isn't:
“Borrow → borrow more → debt ratio explodes forever.”
There is fiscal consolidation happening alongside high public investment.
Now your “India isn't America or Japan” point?
Correct.
Which is precisely why Bharat cannot afford to borrow endlessly for consumption.
But that isn't what Modi Sarkar's capex strategy is.
It has increasingly shifted expenditure toward roads, railways, logistics, power, ports, airports and other productive infrastructure.
And here's the biggest flaw in the argument:
“If they hadn't borrowed, they wouldn't have needed to raise taxes.”
No.
If you refuse borrowing while still wanting the infrastructure, someone has to pay today.
That means higher taxation or lower private consumption/investment.
Borrowing spreads the cost of a long-lived asset across the generations that will actually use it.
A 30-year highway should not necessarily be financed entirely by today's taxpayers.
That's literally why long-term public borrowing exists.
And there is another economic effect you haven't addressed:
₹1 collected in additional taxation today is ₹1 removed from households/businesses today.
That can reduce consumption, private investment and risk-taking.
But ₹1 spent on productive public capex can increase demand and expand productive capacity.
RBI's evidence says precisely that public capex can crowd in private investment.
So yes:
Watch the debt.
Watch the interest bill.
Watch state-level freebies.
Watch fiscal discipline.
But don't make the elementary mistake of treating all borrowing as consumption.
The real equation is:
Cost of borrowing < economic return generated by productive investment
If that condition holds, borrowing can increase—not destroy—future fiscal capacity.
And that is why the question isn't:
“How much did Modi borrow?”
It is:
“How much productive capacity did India create with the borrowing—and is that return greater than its cost?”
Summary:
Debt/GDP DOWN
Fiscal deficit DOWN
Primary deficit DOWN
Revenue receipts UP
Capex UP massively
Therefore, merely shouting “₹200 lakh crore debt!” is not economics, it's only a hollow argument just like a Balance Sheet without Balance.

Birthday of Jesus Christ is a national Holiday.
Birthday of Gandhi is a national holiday.

What a messsage! I’ve watched countless videos, but I’ve rarely come across something like this.
Do show this to the children in your family. It is truly worth watching not only because every single word spoken is accurate and on point, but also because not a single girl is laughing foolishly or dismissing what is being said. Every student is actually listening, understanding, and reflecting on the message.
Honestly, it would be difficult to convey the same message in words more mature, thoughtful, and sensible than these.
13 minutes of pure horror and terror for Rahul Gandhi.

Strictly pidis must stay away. 😀
I want to share what I consider as an illustrative incident for today's Gen.
Last Friday when I was about to disembark from the flight in Chennai from Delhi a passenger from the other side of isle introduced himself as Dr Venkat Ramakrishnan and as a follower of my comments and writings.
When I asked about him he said he was a plastic surgeon in UK for 30 years and is back in Chennai to look after his nonagenarian parents. With that our conversation ended as we disembarked
But what he said -- he came back to look after his aged parents -- made me reach out to him. Yesterday I could trace him with the scrappy details I had got and spoke to him today. He practices as a plastic surgeon in Chennai and is a consultant in Apollo. His father Dr Venkatrasami was a famous plastic surgeon who established a surgery set up in Stanley Hospital in Chennai which is near industrial area where workers lose limbs in accidents calling for surgeries. A block in Stanley is named after Dr Venkatrasami.
Dr Venkat Ramakrishnan himself had a roaring pratice in UK. But the call of his duty to his aged parents made him give up that to come back to India two years back
I thought it is my duty as a journalist to inform the public about illustrative sons like him who value their moral relational obligations more than their personal career
It is those who like Dr Venkat Ramakrishnan sustain intergenerational dharmic responsibilities that keeps our relation based society functional. We are not and can never be a contract based society. According to SBI economic research 84% of parents live with their children in India. This culturally inherited social and emotional security is irreplaceable by state law or courts in our country.
I feel proud of sons like Dr Venkat Ramakrishnan who stand by the basic dharma of Matru Devo Bhava Pitru Devo Bhava
My salutes him and urge the young Indians to inbibe this irreplaceable cultural virtue exemplified by Dr Venkat Ramakrishnan
@AstroSharmistha How many Edu Ministers resigned during UPA rule for paper leaks?? This is all Bakwas, the genuine reason is Educational reforms & FCRA. For the conversion mafia & anti India forces. This is hitting them below the belt.
