In continuation of my strategic engagement with Federal Ministries, Departments, and Agencies, today, I paid a visit to the Executive Secretary Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC), Mrs Aisha Rimi, at the Corporate headquarters in Abuja, where I stressed the need for synergy to improve investment chances in the Katsina state.

During the visit, I expressed the state's strong desire to collaborate with NIPC for the betterment of its agricultural sector and to utilize the abundant mineral resources.

Yesterday, during the 9th State Executive Council meeting, we resolved to convert the Katsina State Institute of Technology and Management into Information & Communication Technology University.

This is borne out of our vision and commitment to position Katsina State to become a digital and ICT excellence hub in no distant time in Nigeria.

I have set up a five-man committee chaired by the Commissioner of Higher, Technical and Vocational Education, Professor Abdulhamid Ahmed Mani, to oversee the full implementation of this massive project.
