After my mosque was brutally hurt I heard a story that was like my mosques. But only my mosque story went viral and it could have been because it happened after the Muslim ban was announced or maybe because there was actual footage of the fire. #personification
@rheaddavinash I think a lot of people live in a bubble and assume the problem will not affect the generations alive today, so they ignore it and hope that the people that will have to deal it with will come up with a solution. #RHEADD
Zizek mentions that “Fukuyama himself was compelled to admit that biogenetics into human nature is the most serious threat to the end of history.” What examples could you think of that he is referring to? #RHEADD
@RheaddR Being the age of 22 also impacts my ability to use and understand technology. Being born a digital native, it’s easy for me to learn and understand technology. I don’t have the same difficulties and hurdles that the older generations (digital immigrants). #alliteration
The Fong reading helped me understand the Malmgren reading better. It was interesting reading about all of the negative effects of social media, especially the comparison that was made to addicts. #RHEADD
The Malgren article was a little more difficult to follow for me because I don’t really understand the public/private buisness idea / worker coop concept... #RHEADD
From the Koelberg reading it was mentioned that apps that are free are worse than apps that cost money in terms of privacy. I like the point that he brought up about people spending hundreds of dollars on smartphones not wanting to buy an app that respects their privacy. #RHEADD
@CeCeDebnam I like this as it is the basis of the class! Since were supposed to share our voice in this paper maybe try and share an experience that relates back to this! Maybe you knew someone going through this struggle...
@Sometimesvanes1 I agree! I think you should expand on this idea and maybe discuss the benefits of her learning how to navigate social media effectively vs. not adapting.
