Now applying that same production mindset to a new build — a distributed backend in Python/FastAPI + Postgres + Redis on Azure, containerized and observable. Sharing progress as I go.

Architecture: Clean Architecture with clear separation of concerns, Postgres for persistence, Redis for caching hot exchange rates, JWT for auth, https://t.co/EQeJeT8JM0 for scheduled rate updates. ~90 tests covering core logic and edge cases.

Context: 9+ years in C#/.NET, most of it in fintech (MobilityOne) and OTA/flight aggregation (GDS/NDC integrations). This service handled real-time currency conversion at scale — accuracy and uptime were non-negotiable.
