@BIoomster very valid
if our midfielders or forwards don’t get in positions where they are open, moving off the ball and in space these newer guys numbers would suffer too, which is why it’s absolutely imperative we get new midfielders
i still think Romero is the best ball playing CB in the leeg, most of those “progressive passes” from other CBs are over the top balls to fullbacks or down the channel which are nice but to pick a pass (mostly grounded) i don’t think there’re many better tbh
Just to clarify, I said *hardly any*, not none.
My point is that most CBs are not an upgrade on Romero in an all-round sense, especially in possession, once you go beyond the very top ball-playing defenders.
the whole discourse of Senesi and Van Hecke being “too slow” to play a high line is bogus tbh, Brighton have been starting DUNK and Van Hecke for years (Dunk has like 30 pace bro)
i’d be more concerned about their aerial ability as a duo than pace tbh, they don’t win headers
@fndology think Senesi just wanted a big move tbh, still a strong possibility he plays a lot with VDV at LB/LCB, also i swear i read something about he wanted to move to London no matter what
Vuskovic on loan and if he develops next season he takes starter and you ship Danso out
i’m dying reading these reports man, proper politicians games these
that other dude said he’ll pay for the sponsorships of 100000 people if he doesn’t sign Haaland which would cost him like €1M instead of the €200Ms Haaland would cost😭😭
transfer window i would be happy with :
Robertson (done)
Senesi (done)
Savinho (done)
- Scott
- Kone/Stiller/Agoume (maybe)
- a good ball striking 9
- backup keeper to Kinsky, some older dude with more experience (not Fraser Forster)
- a replacement for Romero
