What a delight to attend the Africa Stroke Organisation Conference (ASOC) earlier this month in Nairobi 🇰🇪 😊 💬👩🏽💼
Connected with international colleagues & learnt the challenges Africa faces in stroke care and clinical research. Fantastic experience.
Thank you

Our London-based multicentre study shows that socioeconomic deprivation worsens outcomes after mechanical thrombectomy. Patients from more deprived areas had worse recovery 🧠, higher complications 🚑, and more hemorrhages despite universal healthcare. https://t.co/tptGPFdSFY
I went to high school with this amazing woman. She has gone from strength to strength and the work she has done to support the @TheStrokeAssoc is absolutely fantastic and I’m here to support it. Kudos @Uma_Kumaran 🌟✨ 💛
Proud to host the @TheStrokeAssoc in Parliament for the launch of their report
Stroke impacted my family’s life overnight and changed it forever - so many around the UK face the same reality
We know what works - now we need the action to deliver effective stroke care nationwide
Just about to have a panel discussion 💬 🌟
Including: Professor John O’Keefe

I love socialising (within reason)! Turns out there are benefits when it comes to recovery in stroke too. Staying connected with others whom we share values with can be so important for health promotion.
