🚨 BIG: MADRAS HC OBSERVES — “HINDUISM IS INCLUSIVE, WHILE ABRAHAMIC RELIGIONS ARE INHERENTLY EXCLUSIVE.”

The Madras High Court has refused to grant FCRA registration to Kanzeon Public Charitable Trust, which runs a Zen meditation centre in Kodaikanal.

The Court said foreign money being freely used for religious conversions could pose a risk to the country’s sovereignty.

It also made it clear that the FCRA rules apply to organisations of all religions involved in conversions, including Hindu organisations.

The Court stressed that organisations seeking foreign funding must clearly and honestly disclose their religious activities.

The last royal Jamboo Savari was in 1969. Then, in 1970, Kannada activists and Mysuru citizens began organising their own Dasara. They borrowed a wooden howdah from the Palace, brought in an elephant and kept the procession alive.

In 1975, the State formally took over the Jamboo Savari.
