Frankly this is terrifying for practitioners in the know. Flying ICU patients out - the sickest of the sick - because we cannot provide care in #Sask. The public really are not fully aware about how dangerous it is right now should they need critical care. https://t.co/zFXtM46J9a
The COVID-19 Delta Variant is highly contagious - much more than the original strain. The good news is that your chances of being hospitalized from the Delta Variant drops 85-98% if you’re fully vaccinated (2 doses) against COVID-19.
⚠️SASKATOON⚠️
If you’re downtown today (July 20) & need your first or second dose of Pfizer, we have a pop-up clinic running at City Hall (222 3rd Ave N) until 3 p.m. in Committee Room E (Ground Floor).
To the healthcare workers that follow me; I know you feel abandoned by policy makers & the selfish covid-spreaders in society. It's demoralizing & disgusting how you've been asked to sacrifice even more after a year of this.
I see you.
Thank you ♥️

Saskatchewan's average test positivity rate is 12 per cent, but in some areas, like the far north central zone, it's as high as 31 per cent
#Sask's top doc considering more measures next week as ICU availability declines to 5%

These numbers are bad. Our ICU’s are almost full, over 60 people have died since Jan 1. We have the highest active cases per capita in Canada. The only way out is to work together: stay home, mask, social distance, drastically limit contacts. This is urgent, #Sask. #covid19sk
