I have SO much mom guilt about having another baby soon and not being able to give Lydia my undivided attention. It has been a constant worry this entire pregnancy. 🥺
Last night I thought I was in labor. My first thought was, “oh gosh, should I mop my floors or try to sleep through contractions?” And this explains everything about me to a T.
Satie’s gymnopédie No. 1, Debussy’s Clair de lune, and Beethoven’s piano sonata no. 14 are the most satisfying classical instrumental pieces. They scratch my brain in the right way.
Child care is the absolute worst part of being a working parent. Lydia is always sick, sitters are always sick, my mom broke her foot and helps takes care of my elderly grandpa (he also had a stroke in April). David works nights/has to sleep during the day. I’m at my wits end. 😣
I wish people realized how hurtful it is to (me as a parent) say “she just needs to get over it/get used to it” when I explain Lydia doesn’t like certain activities because of the the loud noises. I’m not traumatizing my child for the sake of anyone else’s “convenience”.
I just told my husband in a VERY DISTRESSED tone that I stepped on a slug on my way back inside and I was barefoot and traumatized and he said to me
“RODRIGO??? DID YOU STEP ON RODRIGO?”
I want to see Taylor Swift SO badly that I told David I didn’t care if we found tickets in December, I would be going, either about to go in labor or with a newborn. I would literally have the baby at the concert if that’s what it takes for me to see T Swift lol.
