Are you a business leader who identifies as a Christian?
I’m doing a research project and I’d love to hear from you if you feel you experience specific leadership challenges due to your faith.
Please drop me a DM (and share this tweet if you don’t mind)
Please, if you read Afrikaans, get hold of today’s Beeld, in hard copy or online. It will lift your heart. “Die vraag is nie bly of gly nie. Die vraag is: hoe gaan jy bly? Waar gaan jy ‘n impak he?” Ask what you can do for your country, not what your country can do for you.

One sure fire way to know to you’re a leader…
You. Create. Momentum.
Leaders create momentum. Leadership teams manage that momentum.

How to add value to others - that’s leadership.
How to spot and unlock value - that’s entrepreneurship.
How to know they are valued - that’s the Gospel.
Every single miracle in the Bible only had 1 thing in common.
Only. One. Thing.
A problem.
Problems aren’t things to be avoided at all costs. They are opportunities to lean into.
Comfort is the killer.

People will invest in your cause (business, charity, movement) for 1 of 3 reasons:
1) their relationship with you
2) the conviction of your vision
3) the impact or profit you’ve already achieved
Optimize your approach to suit the season/audience.
Mandela was the only person allowed to call the Queen by her name, Elizabeth. On one occasion on meeting her he is said to have remarked, "Oh, Elizabeth, you've lost weight." #QueenElizabeth
Things that sound like wisdom but are not…. Part 1:
“You can’t fail if you don’t quit”
Rubbish.
The trouble with this “lazy thinking”statement is that there are so many nuances in peoples circumstances.
The truth is that sometimes “quitting” is the best thing to do.
The job of the CEO:
1) Hold the vision
2) Recruit and retain the team needed to execute that vision
3) Resource that team with:
a) capital
b) clarity
c) care
