My heart broke when my dog died in January. But my little girl was more important. And she lost a part of herself in a way she couldn't even understand. She was having issues with friends and school and behaviour. She was still an absolute dream. But lost.

Today, we were playing hide-and-seek in the woods with our puppy. We are still missing our boy. But it's nice to see my girl with her girl. She is experiencing joy again, in a way that she hasn't in months. We need dogs.
