@alana_xyz, a community of creators and builders, approved the $ALANA token launch and voted to remove the single top coordinating role held by its founder.

The Nucleus Navigator role gives way to "a fully distributed branch of Nucleus Guardians, each covering one team in ALANA, to further eliminate concentrated power." The Infrastructure & Strategy team put the changes together, and founder @stellaachenbach presented the overview to the community.

Voting will require an active membership NFT plus ALANA holdings based on contributions. Holding the token alone does not confer a vote.

The proposal argues the community should not be asked to approve a token without also understanding who has what authority over governance, treasury, and execution.

"This is a needed change to begin to make Alana act and operate as a truly decentralized and self-sustaining community entity. The adoption of the tokens is an important step and establishing infrastructure to support and reward community members and projects."
