Stop these ridiculous bursaries and look into why thousands of amazing teachers leave the profession every year.
Retain the hardworking, committed teachers who work their arses off. Allow schools to use that ‘bursaries’ funding to reward teachers. Keep us in the profession!

@vicgoddard I used to work with Mrs M at that school and she was incredibly respected by all staff and students alike. It’s disgusting how she’s been treated. I left in 2020 and I had nothing. No card, nothing. I’d been there for 10 years and not even a thank you.

@RogersHistory This is exactly what I’ve had to do for the last 5-6 years. Due to medical conditions that were made worse by working full-time, I’ve been 0.8 and 0.7 but still going into work 8am-5pm every day (still with the need for evening/weekend work) to balance my Healy and family life.
