To put this into perspective..
Government spent:
$131 M for ensuring the health & safety of students & education workers in a once in a century pandemic.
$650 M on a parking lot for a foreign company.
This includes underspending their already woefully inadequate education budget by $144 million while your children were in crowded classrooms without the supports they need.
Why are Ford and Lecce leaving money on the table while our children struggle?

1) PD Day agendas are based on priorities set by the Ministry of Education.
2) Student attendance data have always been collected & shared with the Ministry.
3) School boards have been required to develop long-term strategic plans for decades. #OntEd

NEW: Ontario’s Progressive Conservative government is sitting on more than $22 billion in “excess funds,” according to the province’s watchdog, with no transparency on how that money will be used over the next four years.

Ford: Parents, violence starts at home. Kids, you gotta get your act together.
ETFO: Students are not to blame. The government is failing them time and time again, especially those who are most vulnerable.
Premier, don't starve #onted and blame students and their families when you're ensuring schools are understaffed and under-resourced. contributing to the rise and severity of violence in schools. To be clear, your govt is to blame for the prevalence and severity of violence in schools.

Watching @Sflecce on @TheAgenda tonight made it very clear what Bill 98 is about. He actually stated that as the MoE he should have the power to do what he wants. For the first time ever, he was transparent. Don’t believe his “about student achievement” sound bites. 😡
Today @Sflecce tweeted support for Firefighters and Police officers, and retweeted messages from their leaders
When was the last time that he did that for nurses and #onted?
Everyone deserves to be treated with respect and dignity, not just male dominated (PC supporting) jobs
Here is a list of students that are going to be missing class tomorrow 2nd period. Let me know if there's any issues.
Ok, I have an issue. It's the end of the grading period and if this kid misses the test tomorrow they will never make it up.
Too bad, I need the kid
Why ask?
🧵I just finished reading the 18 page Better Schools And Student Outcomes Act (Bill 98). @Sflecce keeps making these claims outlined below in his clip. As I was reading the Bill, I searched really hard to find reference to all of these items. 🤷🏼♀️
#OSSTF/FEESO MEDIA RELEASE:
“For a govt that has repeatedly demanded more accountability & transparency in #OntEd, these futile attempts to hide their cuts to education funding are insulting. Students deserve far better than these smoke & mirrors tactics from the Ontario PCs.”
