@HunterBiden People who have really hit bottom and skidded there, and then come through a recovery process for real, are some of the deepest, most sincere, gritty, self-honest people there are. Keep doing you.
@JoyceCarolOates It could be, I say sincerely, that everyone is self-medicating in some form. When I was a kid, I medicated with books. When I was a young adult, I medicated with yoga and kale. Now I am 58, post meno & cataclysmic life events, and I am not above an antidepressant or a cocktail.
@johnastoehr Ironically, one year I did enroll in the ACA and was also covered by employer based health insurance, unbeknownst to me. I paid out the nose to the IRS for the privilege of being double insured.
@internetarchiva Well researched, emotionally evocative, truly imaginative and transformational. One womanโs inquiry into how the business of war gradually encroached on private life, weaving personal narrative, historical research, biography, science, and more.
@SketchesbyBoze Curious, if you have ever read Toni Morrisonโs Whiteness and the Literary Imagination. I believe I remember she had an essay on Moby Dick.
@binx7h I read a ton of books, hung out outside, walked to town, played with my dogs, once made a mock radio station complete with news, reports, commercials, music, different DJsโฆ with my brother on a little cassette recorder, and occasionally watched TV.
