@KingBobIIV@newlook Was in New look today, Manchester Arndale branch, wife was asked by the lady at the till to provide an email address for her receipt, she refused (due to still having an old embarrassing email address from 2006). Girl on the till simply said, yes, no problem and printed one
Since when did carrier bags in the supermarket become 30p 😂😂😂
You can buy a box of 1000 down commercial road shopfitters for £14.50 + vat. (And I’m sure the supermarkets buy them 10 times cheaper than what I can because of the amount they order)
I thought the whole idea of the 5p bag charge was to stop being wasting plastic bags and re-using them. I bet they’re making a lovely profit on them now.
Expensive plastic bag Bosh❤️
@peterrhague The next post down from yours… be grateful for what we’ve got. You might be able to afford private medical care but there are a lot of people in this country who wouldn’t be able to
Dear @ofgem WTAF are you playing at?
Electricity standing charges were around 15p a day 8 years ago (2016) annual cost £55.
June 2023 - 43p - £157
Late 2023 - 56p - £204
April 2024 - 67p - £245
This is a 500% increase!! 🤬
And 50% over the past year.
You are supposed to be protecting us against profiteering . You are not doing your job are you? Get a grip. 😡
EXACTLY 4 years ago today, the Express mocked the notion that roaming charges for UK travellers to the EU would return after Brexit.
Today, they're bleating that some tourists have clocked up over £1,000 in roaming fees.
Reality: Like a sledgehammer to the head.
Johnson’s Government is working on the assumption that if it lies low for long enough the public will just forget all about the Downing Street #PartyGate scandal
So here are all our films on this scandal in one thread
Let @BorisJohnson know this matter is NOT “closed”
@SkyUK Why is there a delay in the delivery of the IPhone Pro Max? Was told the 24th when pre ordered on the 17th and when I spoke with customer services on the 20th was told it was still the 24th
