@Karma514MTL@Maxtheg39669825 Hopefully not, but I’m seeing more convection pop up. Looks like it’s spread out and moving more than it was yesterday, but some pooling water or some flooding cannot be ruled out yet, better to be prepared.
Seeing severe thunderstorms with heavy rainfall popping up again today, potentially approaching the SAME AREA impacted by FLOODING YESTERDAY.
If you live in that area, keep your pumps running, and if you have sand bags, be ready. #qcstorm#qcwx#montreal
@godlovesuca Not sure if you’re already here/near Montreal but it’s passable. I don’t know if this specific street is open, but you can park nearby and walk. I drove through there last night and most of the water is gone, by now it likely is all gone.
@SaoirseYVR I didn’t know that! Interesting. Saw something similar happen near Vancouver in 2021 when Sumas (which was formerly a lake) flooded from heavy rains
@camcol32 I thought that initially too, but I think the sheer amount of rain simply overwhelmed the drainage system, it wasn’t designed for 50mm+/hr rajns, all flowing down towards that one street. I did try to clear one of the drains (and was waist deep in water) it was already clear
Radar loop from yesterday’s historic rain storm. This had me worried early on since upper winds were pushing storms SE and it seemed like convection was popping up more and more northwest. There should have been more warnings for yesterday. #qcstorm#qcwx#montrealflood

@Maxtheg39669825 Holy smokes, I think I was on your street at some point later on I recognize a few of those vehicles. A lot of people were affected yesterday, I just hope that everyone made it out okay.
Severe flooding in Laval right now, multiple vehicles disabled, turn around don’t drown. Flash flood conditions remain in place due to a line of storms persisting over the same areas in the Montreal area #qcstorm#qcwx
