@SwanseaOnline10 The best bit is the union are useless - the rep was a grade 7 - management! No wonder the DVLA have manged to make the workers key workers! #Solidarity
If the situation at the @DVLAgovuk in #SwanseaEast couldn't get any more desperate we now find out that the management misled Parliament in their answers.
There are serious questions that need to be answered now from UK Govt to the DVLA management. https://t.co/KbJlaBSDgH
Rwyf wedi codi'r mater hwn dro ar ôl tro gyda Gweinidogion @transportgovuk oherwydd fy mod wedi bod mor bryderus am nifer yr achosion yn DVLA.
Rydym hefyd wedi cymryd camau i gryfhau'r gyfraith i sicrhau bod gweithwyr yn cael eu hamddiffyn.

Mass Covid outbreak at DVLA. Employees say those with symptoms were encouraged to return to work and the vulnerable not allowed to work from home. This failure to safeguard staff in a government dept. mirrors what this government has done to us all in the past year.
The DVLA Covid outbreak is such a strong reminder that for however much the government do theatre about park benches and student parties, it's all meaningless when so many people are still forced to come in to work every day or face financial oblivion.
@RussInCheshire I live just 20 minutes from Swansea, the outbreak at the DVLA offices has been common knowledge for some time. Staff are terrified and so is the local community 🤬😡
“A complaint received by Public Health Wales’s outbreak control team claims DVLA workers were asked to turn off their test-and-trace apps ‘so that their phones do not ping’.”
The DVLA is under Westminster’s jurisdiction. 😡

Many of the workers travel into the offices from Swansea’s commuter belt. Tonia Antoniazzi, MP for Gower, said she had been inundated with messages from desperate DVLA staff. “I’m being bombarded by people telling me how awful it is,” https://t.co/L4RwvUVRA5
UK Minister provokes 500 Covid cases at DVLA Swansea as symptomatic told to work, vulnerable refused home-working, Covid absences over 10 days trigger warnings & workers told turn off test-and-trace apps so phones don’t ping RESIGN @grantshapps 👎🏻 https://t.co/yURBp9eteM
The countries that went quick, big & hard at covid-19 successfully suppressed the virus & are seeing their economies & freedoms bounce back. The UK’s abject failure to suppress it throughout the pandemic means our economy & freedom continues to be screwed. End.
Baffles me why people are quick to blame and judge the government instead of using their own common sense and say we'll post pone Christmas this year and celebrate when things are better!!! #alwaysblamingothers#commonsenseprevails#Covid19UK
@fmwales Limiting the number of people in stores at any one time, setting time limits to get essential items is necessary to curb the rise of the virus infection rates.
Epic final well played by both but so happy for @nr147 congratulations on the hattrick!!! #UKChampionship2020 insomnia isn't so bad with entertainment like that!
