@secretclubprov The members clubs around me are full with waiting lists and don’t need loads of visitors. Some privately owned clubs near me are crying out for members and visitors and spend the bare minimum on the course due to the owners creaming off a massive wage for themselves 🤔
@LocalHistorian_ The problem is not the car they get, it’s the none disabled that get motability cars. Play 18 holes of golf , ie walk 6miles and then drive home in your motability car 🤔
@secretclubprov I wear short white socks which are allowed at our golf club. I don’t have any issues with anyone wearing long socks if they want to, although I can’t see the point when you’re trying to keep as cool as you can on a hot day.
@ianmckee58@secretclubprov If you discount it people still moan. In March our green fees was about 40% of summer green fees and you got food included. Some people were still moaning on social media about the condition of the greens after they’d played.
@SteveCarroll77 I play at a club where everyone takes a bag of soil / seed mix and fills any divot they make on the fairway. Very rare for this to happen to you except in rough or heather.
@yarwoodwilliam@the_tpa It makes my piss boil when I’m at the golf club. You see people walk approximately 7 miles round the course and then jump in their brand new motability car to go home 🤷♂️
@secretclubprov Clubs that are owned by one individual that I’ve been a member of are always focused on making as big a wage as possible for that individual. They have the attitude of if you don’t like it, go elsewhere. Which is ok until a decent percentage of members do exactly that 👆
@NCG_com People moan that expensive club subscriptions are circa 2K per year, that’s approximately £38 per week.
There are many clubs much less expensive, there’s some cracking clubs in North east for less than £10 per week.
@NCG_com There should be a limit for general play scores to two per quarter. This would help prevent bandits manipulating there handicap for upcoming events that they want an advantage in.
@SteveCarrollNCG I’m not on the handicap committee, however EG need to sort out the issues that didn’t exist before WHS, rather than rely on some volunteer to do it for them.
